There's no single background. Some companions are semi-retired and have time and local knowledge to spare. Some are students filling gaps in their week with something that pays better than the usual part-time options. What they share is being reliable and easy to be around for a few hours at a time - the actual job, most days, is just being good company.
What the application looks like
Setting up a profile itself is simple and doesn't require verification first: what you offer, your city, your rate, and a few photos. A clear, specific profile ("city guide, five years here, best with food and history") gets booked far more than a vague one.
Verification is a separate, optional step on top of that - a government ID and a selfie, matched by a real person on our side, after which a checkmark shows on your profile. It's not required to go live, but it's worth doing early: it's the one signal we explicitly tell clients to look for before they book someone they don't already know.
Setting your rate
Look at what similar profiles in your city are charging before picking a number - too low signals inexperience, too high with no reviews yet makes people hesitate. Most companions start slightly below what they eventually settle on, build a few reviews, then raise it once demand shows they can. You can change it any time; nothing locks you in.
Your first few bookings
The first booking or two is mostly about building reviews - be specific in chat about what you're offering, show up on time, and let the interaction speak for itself. Reviews and a verified badge together are what make a new profile competitive against ones that have been live for months.
